Tutorial

Tutorial Facility is 44 objectives, in this order. Track them in Operations, then Objectives. The first Service Counter in this mission starts with 72 stamp sheets. Later counters start at 24. See Stamps.

If the first road reaches the map edge but the straight run is too short for a Loading Dock, that step asks you to extend the road instead. The dock blueprint counts, and Structure unlocks when that pad is online. Place the door before you hire Maintenance.

  1. Read the facility brief.
  2. Paint a road to a map edge and confirm a town connection.
  3. Place a Loading Dock flush to a road (asphalt apron meets the curb).
  4. Finish a structure (about 12 by 10 outer recommended). Smaller footprints still count once the walls finish.
  5. Place a Door on a wall of the structure.
  6. Hire Maintenance.
  7. Buy a town power hookup (Power Connection).
  8. Paint Small Power Cable from the connection. Large carries more load and a longer reach.
  9. Place a Fusebox or Heavy Fusebox and stamp a circuit.
  10. Paint Small Power Cable out from the Fusebox.
  11. Have the structure's floor (slab counts). A floor style is optional.
  12. Paint an Employee Parking zone.
  13. Paint a Customer Parking zone.
  14. Paint a Customer Service zone (about the recommended size).
  15. Place a Service Counter.
  16. Place a Stamp Safe. This step finishes when you place the safe. Ordering stamps is separate: the next morning truck brings the order to the dock.
  17. Place a Time Clock.
  18. Hire the window clerk.
  19. Paint a Smoke Area for the smoker.
  20. Place an Ash Tray in the Smoke Area.
  21. Take a customer's payment at the window.
  22. Paint a Break Room so clerks can recover.
  23. Paint a Restroom so clerks have a bathroom.
  24. Place a Toilet in the Restroom.
  25. Place a Sink in the Restroom.
  26. Paint a Small Water Pipe to the Restroom.
  27. Paint a Small Hot Water Pipe from the Water Boiler. The boiler needs cold water and power. The sink and the break-room coffee maker use that pipe.
  28. Set up a Postmaster office and hire a Postmaster. That is a desk, an office chair, and a filing cabinet, then the hire.
  29. Pursue HQ Phone Line in Operations, then Deals. Clicking Pursue is enough. Full clearance can finish in the background.
  30. Paint a Sorting Floor zone (about the recommended size).
  31. Place a Sorting Station. Stations do not need power.
  32. Place Lights and an AC Unit or Heater.
  33. Process mail on your first mail day.
  34. Paint a Distribution Floor zone.
  35. Paint a Unit for a connected district.
  36. Place a Carrier Case.
  37. Hire a carrier.
  38. Place an Outgoing Mail Bin.
  39. Get a container for outgoing mail.
  40. Stage a container on the Loading Dock.
  41. Let the evening truck load the dock.
  42. Place a Parking Space for a postal truck.
  43. Buy a postal truck (Operations, then Logistics).
  44. Finish a delivery after the postal truck is yours. A carrier can take the truck, or the evening truck can haul hub mail.

Clear the list without losing the license. The next story mission is Open for Business, and it is a checklist, not another named lesson. See Story and Sandbox.
