Private boxes

Private boxes need a placed Private Box Wall and a Service Counter. The wall costs 220 and sits in a Box Mail Pickup zone. Each wall has 20 slots. Setup is 15. Overnight renters pay 2.50 a day. Low customer satisfaction means fewer people try to rent. If box mail sits in overflow overnight, renters cancel after 2 missed days, and satisfaction takes a small hit.

Clerks sort that mail into the wall. It is not street delivery. Customers collect held mail for a pickup fee (6 in the economy table). Staging the mail pays delivery revenue. Private box mail stays in the building for outbound clearance. See Outgoing mail.

The Auto Postage Machine does not rent boxes. The rental is a counter sale, on top of stamp sheets and the other retail SKUs. See Counter service.
