Deals and contracts
Two different government tracks. Deals are phone clearances the postmaster works in Operations, then Deals. Contracts are one-time cash grants in Operations, then Finances. Grants are not loans. Amounts below are sim units. The HUD shows them in your currency.
Deals
Progress ticks only while a postmaster is on duty, and only after the Postmaster office is finished. Deal cards list buildings still missing. The card shows the point cost.
- HQ Phone Line (40). Opens the line with HQ and county contacts. Required before contracts and device clearances.
- Government Contracts (55). Requires HQ Phone Line. Unlocks the Finances grants. Contracts cannot pay out until this deal is cleared.
- Automated Postage Clearance (120). Requires HQ Phone Line. Unlocks the Auto Postage Machine.
- Fleet Clearance (100). Requires Automated Postage Clearance, and postal truck stalls. Postal trucks and delivery vans cost 0.70 of list, and the gas card rebates 25 percent of fuel.
- High-Volume Sorter Authorization (140). Requires Fleet Clearance, a large Sorting Floor, and clerk stations. The High-Volume Sorter costs 0.60 of list.
- Regional Dock Charter (180). Requires High-Volume Sorter Authorization, Distribution Center status, and two Loading Docks. Adds a bonus inbound run and a second evening outbound.
Government Contracts and Automated Postage Clearance both sit on HQ Phone Line. The fleet path continues from Automated Postage Clearance.
Contracts
Each grant pays once, when its requirements first become true, and only after Government Contracts is cleared.
